More Crochet
Having lots of fun crocheting. It's something that my Grandmother taught me many moons ago. I am left handed and she was right handed so of course everything was backwards to me. I know it must have been frustrating for her, maybe because she told me so, but she didn't give up and I eventually learned and now when I am crocheting I think of her. I sure miss her, what a great granny I had.
I even got my hubby to try it out. He didn't do so bad for being a beginner!Of course I had to make something for the dogs as well.

Flowers of Hawaii
Went on a great trip with some dear friends to Hawaii in November. I decided to take as many interesting picture of flowers and foliage that I could find, and boy could I find a lot of them, here's just a sampling.....
Winter and Yarn
Well it's been quite sometime since I've posted anything. Not that I haven't been busy though. I truly despise the winter and I decided this year instead of waiting it out I was going to stay as busy as possible. I am in love with pintrest (who isn't?) and saw a pin on a crochet stitch called
the crocodile or dragon scale stitch. I busted out my old rusty hook and set out to learn it. After several (hundred) attempts I got it!! Yay! So here are a couple of things I've made. If you want to learn here is where I found a great tutorial, easy to follow http://youtu.be/lbewLEjax1I

Adrift in the Blooms
Want to come stand under a canopy of cherry blossoms? Well come on over and do just that. I wait all year for my tree do bust out with all her glory and without fail she gives us a show every year.
The new/old window
Somewhere along the line a gained a cool old window that someone had discarded. It had a wood frame and the glass sort of looked like "bubbles" I have held on to it for years thinking that someday I would make something cool and functional out of it so I did just that. Even though its not quite finished here I wanted to post it. My husband is going to hang two chains from it and I am going to hang it from my front porch. I think it will make a lovely addition.......
